Managing repository records

Our editor regularly monitors OpenDOAR and we aim to respond to queries within 5 working days (excluding UK national holidays).

Registering a repository

You need to complete a Submit a Repository form (remember to check the repository meets our eligibility criteria first).

The editor will review the request by visiting the repository and assessing it against the OpenDOAR inclusion criteria. If the repository meets the requirements, it will be added to the directory, and you'll be notified once that has been done. If the repository does not meet the criteria, they will contact you to explain why.

Updating an existing repository record

Please submit any updates or changes by clicking on the ‘report an error’ button at the top right-hand corner of each repository record. This will open a form in which you can provide details of the required amendments.

The editor will review and verify the requested update.

The editor will update the existing repository record and notify you when this has been completed.
