Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed under Non-accessible content.
Non-accessible content
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations:
- Some form inputs may be missing the appropriate autocomplete attribute, which could make it harder for assistive technologies to understand their purpose. 1.3.5 (Identify Input Purpose)
- Not all keyboard focus indicators are clear, such as on the record pages. 2.4.7.
- Touch targets in some pages do not have sufficient size or spacing to make it easy for people who struggle to target smaller controls. 2.5.8.
Non-compliance: third-party tools
Hotjar
We use Hotjar to better understand our users' needs and optimise the experience of this website. We do not have a suitable alternative and, as we do not control the platform, are unable to make the changes required to improve it. Accessibility testing of Hotjar was last completed in October 2024 and Jisc has plans to retest and review this in March 2025. This statement will be updated to show the results of that testing.
How we tested this website
Evaluation of the website's compliance was carried out via self assessment in February 2025 using a combination of manual testing and automated testing (Axe, Lighthouse, SiteImprove and Wave).
What we are doing to improve accessibility
Evaluation of the website's compliance was carried out as a self assessment.
Whenever new features are released they go through our internal quality assurance checks and must meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We are also committed to working on the issues above.
